Riverfly Partnership

angler's monitoring initiative, alnessThe Novar Fishings, in conjunction with the Cromarty Firth Fisheries Board and SEPA, is now participating in the Anglers' Monitoring Initiative, by monthly monitoring of invertebrate populations; a key indicator of the health and water quality of our river.

The Anglers' Monitoring Initiative,  is part of the Riverfly Partnership, a network of nearly 100 partner organisations, representing anglers, conservationists, entomologists, scientists, water course managers and relevant authorities, working together to:

  • further the understanding of riverfly populations
  • and actively conserve riverfly habitats
